Volunteer Opportunities
Ushers & Front-Of-House Support
Ushers help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for our patrons. As the first impression many audience members have of The Augusta Players, ushers play one of the most important volunteer roles in our organization. Responsibilities include greeting guests, scanning tickets, assisting with seating, and providing general guidance throughout the performance. This role is ideal for volunteers who enjoy interacting with people and being part of the lively show-night atmosphere.
Production Crew
Our Production Crew assists with a wide range of behind-the-scenes tasks such as set construction, painting, props, costumes, and general technical support. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the creative process. This is an excellent choice for hands-on helpers who like being part of the artistic build.
Load-In / Load-Out Crew
During production week, our load-in team helps move sets, props, and equipment into the theatre and prepare the space for performances. After the final show, load-out volunteers assist with striking the set and returning materials to storage. This role is physical, fast-paced, and perfect for volunteers who enjoy teamwork and action behind the scenes.
Stage Crew
Stage crew members work backstage during performances to ensure everything runs smoothly. Tasks may include moving set pieces, managing props, assisting performers with quick changes, and supporting stage management. This role is ideal for dependable volunteers who enjoy being part of the live production process and thrive in a focused, behind-the-scenes environment.
