ABOUT THE SHOW:
When Mo Willems’ characters get together for the holidays, it’s bound to be the biggest extravaganza ever! The Unlimited Squirrels deck the halls and Elephant and Piggie come ready to celebrate! But will The Pigeon join in the festivities, or will he run all the way to the North Pole in search of the greatest gift ever? Catchy tunes, silly stories, goofy gifts, audience antics: it’s all in this brand-new musical party that sleighs!
Looking for performers of all types, ethnicities, shapes, sizes. Ages 16+ (See breakdown below for more specifics).
General Auditions:
All will be seen in 10-minute slots. You will be asked to sing a song for the character that you are auditioning for. Links to sheet music and rehearsal tracks can be found below. You may be asked to read from the script.
WE WILL TAKE WALK INS AND ALL ATTENDING WILL BE SEEN, even if the sign-up is full.

Character Breakdown:
The Pigeon (Tenor, vocal range D2-G3)
The Pigeon is over-confident but deeply curious. Self-centered but totally loveable. Often brash but also vulnerable. Persistent anddetermined. He feels all of his feelings at 110%. He’s the funniest bird he knows.
On stage, The Pigeon is ALWAYS portrayed as a puppet.
In every one of his books, The Pigeon has a “beak out” moment.
These are often moments of big feelings and misunderstandings.

Elephant Gerald (Baritone, vocal range B1-F3)
Elephant Gerald is careful. His best friend Piggie is not. Gerald worries so that Piggie does not have to.

Piggie cannot help smiling. Her best friend Gerald can. Piggie is always ready for a new adventure, especially when Elephant Gerald is ready to play, too!

THE SQUIRRELS
Zoomy Squirrel (Mezzo with belt, vocal range A2-D4)
Zoomy Squirrel is new to things, and they’re down to try it all (or almost it all).
Zappy Squirrel (Alto/Tenor, vocal range D2-C4)
Zappy Squirrel is a confident brainstormer. They may not always have the answer, but they bring ideas to the table and are undeterred by getting it wrong.
Zoopy Squirrel (Soprano, vocal range A2-G4)
Zoopy Squirrel has their head in the clouds and their feet not always on the ground (they do their best thinking while in a headstand). They wear their heart on their sleeve and always have an unexpected way of seeing the bright side of things.
Flappy Squirrel (Alto, vocal range A2-E4)
Flappy Squirrel is the stage manager of the group. They’re organized, patient and prepared for anything and everything. Flappy Squirrel is a bird, but they still are referred to as a “squirrel”, like Barbie.
