ABOUT THE SHOW:
Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Now the new kid at school, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?
Please note that each auditionee will need to sign up for a solo audition slot and the group dance slot. If all audition slots are filled on the sign up genius please still come to auditions. We will accept walk-in auditions.

Rehearsals will begin on Monday, July 27th at 712 Ellis St until August 29th, then will move to The Kroc Center until the production concludes. Performance Dates: September 11th, 2026 | September 12th, 2026

CASTING INFORMATION:
EVAN GOLDMAN: A good-hearted 13-year-old, going through a lot including his parents’ divorce and a move from New York to a sleepy midwestern town. At least he still has his Bar Mitzvah. High-strung, smart, and resourceful, he ultimately is a good kid who does the right thing. Vocal Range: C4–G5 (middle C up to the G above high C)
Vocal Audition: “Thirteen”
PATRICE: 13 year-old girl with big dreams of getting out of a small town. Clever and a bit shy, she marches to the beat of her own drum making her somewhat of an outcast at school.
Vocal Range: A♭3 – E5
Vocal Audition: “The Lamest Place in the World”
ARCHIE: Patrice’s best friend. Walks on crutches due to his muscular dystrophy. He is manipulative, but not nasty. He has a dark sense of humor and wants to live life to the fullest, which includes a set-up date with Kendra.
Vocal Range: B3 to A5
Vocal Audition: “Get Me What I Need”
BRETT SAMPSON: The stereotypical “cool guy.” He is athletic and commands a squad of minions. Not very bright; not very nice. Has strong feelings for Kendra.

EDDIE: Part of Brett’s entourage, and is the counterpart to Malcolm.

MALCOLM: Part of Brett’s entourage, the counterpart to Eddie. They are two peas in a pod.

CASSIE: A cheerleader. A supporting character. Someone who doesn’t mind singing a solo alone on stage.

CHARLOTTE: A cheerleader. A supporting character with significant solo parts.

KENDRA: the most popular girl in school and typically oblivious to how much attention other people pay to her. She’s happy when working on cheerleading and clueless when she is part of the plot of others. She’s genuinely nice, but somewhat shallow and naive.

Vocal Audition: “Any Minute”
LUCY: Another cheerleader. The quintessential “mean girl.” Manipulative, dishonest, insecure, and unapologetic. Lucy is the one pulling all the strings at the junior high school.
Vocal Range: F♯3 to D5
Vocal Audition: “Opportunity”
MOLLY: One of Lucy’s underlings. She refuses to go to Evan’s party and helps Lucy spread rumors. She is happy to gossip about the drama, though she’s never quite in the middle of it.
