Summer Theatre Academy
Spend the summer strengthening your musical theatre skills with The Augusta Players Summer Theatre Academy. Summer Theatre Academy students will attend rehearsals in acting, singing, and choreography that will conclude with an end of session performance of a Broadway Jr title. Academy students will be taught by local theatre educators and professionals and this two-week intensive is perfect for all levels of performers from novice to advanced. In addition to rehearsals, Summer Theatre Academy students will receive masterclasses in topics such as improv, stage combat, auditioning and more!
Enrollment begins January 29th.
SESSION ONE
Lion King Kids

SESSION TWO
Mean Girls Jr

Dates: June 16th- June 20th and June 23rd-June 27th
Ages: 12-16

Educational Objective
Summer Theatre Academy centers around developing skills in theatre and performance through a product-based learning environment. Emphasis will be placed on students learning the necessary tools such as, but not limited to, voice, body, and imagination to successfully and safely rehearse and perform in a musical. This fast-paced, high-energy theatre intensive will prepare students to become a confident and responsible performer both on and off of the stage.
Summer Theatre Academy will take place at The AP Building located at 712 Ellis Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
