About The Scholarship
The Debi Ballas Performing Arts Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior to recognize their service to the Augusta Players and their community and to encourage continued growth in supporting the arts.
The award will be based on the applicant’s essay, dedication, participation, and support of the arts, The Augusta Players and/or Augusta Jr Players, academic standards, and character qualities reflected in the applicant’s letters of recommendation and application. Applications will be adjudicated by a committee of no less than four volunteers.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
Be a Graduating high school senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA
Have participated in at least one production, special event, or fundraiser with The Augusta Players or The Augusta Jr. Players
Plan to major or minor in theatrical arts in college
Submit of a short essay describing how theatre has impacted your life and how this scholarship will support your future goals
Have demonstrated community involvement, leadership, and commitment to the arts
Have Three letters of recommendation from non-family adults, including:
A teacher (academic abilities)
A director or creative team member (artistic contributions)
A mentor or supervising adult (character and involvement in the arts)
