Auditions
The Augusta Players holds open auditions for all Mainstage, Youth Theatre, and Children's Wing Productions throughout the year. Audition dates, times, and places are posted on the web page as well as local newspapers prior to the audition.
The Augusta Players does not require previous stage experience to audition, just your talent and desire to be part of the production process. During the audition you will be required to read from the script (material provided). If you are auditioning for a musical, in addition, you will be expected to sing a prepared selection from the show, and learn a simple movement routine from the productions choreographer.
If you are not cast, do not be discouraged, but continue to audition to gain experience. Understand there are many factors when casting a production.

Thank you all for auditioning for Miss Saigon. This will be an exciting show with an excellent cast. There are several cameo roles that will be cast out of the Ensemble at a later date. We still do not have a rehearsal space and will have to let you know that as well. Please check the rehearsal schedule at the end of the cast list. If your name is not listed in the cast list, please try again. We normally hold auditions for each show 6 weeks to 2 months prior to show date.

Rehearsal plan is as follows:
Monday, August 2 7:00 pm ALL for short meeting. Scores will be given out. Full Chorus will stay and rehearse.
Tuesday, August 3 7:00 pm MEN
Thursday, August 5 7:00 pm WOMEN
Monday & Tuesday evenings in August will be MEN
Thursday evenings in August will be WOMEN
We will hopefully pull everyone back together August 30, 31. Les will probably want to work FRIDAY evening, Sept 3 instead of Thursday, Sept 2. So, men and women, please HOLD those dates.
Full rehearsals begin on Monday, Sept 6. THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST SING THRU WITH THE FULL CAST. Then, production week will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday only unless we need an extra singing rehearsal on Thursday, 9/16. The two performances are on September 17 & 18.
